Areas Of Support
My specialty is in providing support to individuals who are seeking to live a richer and fuller life. I strive to create an environment in which my clients feel safe to openly discuss their thoughts, emotions and relationships through the use of a holistic and integrative therapeutic approach. I believe each person’s life experiences are unique and as a therapist I work with each client to help them recognize and accept all of their feelings and experiences. In our dialogue, we often can identify actions that may be limiting a person’s ability to create a positive change in their life. As we work on clarifying personal values and developing greater mindfulness, it finally becomes possible to move in the direction of growth.
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them gain insight to who they are as an individual, foster mindfulness, and establish self-acceptance. In doing so, we create the conditions for personal growth and development.
The climate created at Hamlett Health is one that is both accepting and understanding of my client’s needs. Treatment plans are customized to meet the unique needs of each client in an effort to promote growth and healing. My approach is client centered with the integration of techniques from Psychodynamic, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The integration of these therapeutic approaches creates a balance between insight-oriented and skills-based pathways.

Therapy Modalities
My approach is client centered with the integration of techniques from Psychodynamic, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The integration of these therapeutic approaches creates a balance between insight oriented and skills based pathways.
Psychodynamic Therapy is based on the idea that one’s past can influence and impact current behaviors and interactions. Through the exploration of feelings and experiences, the desire for clients to become more aware of both conscious and unconscious feelings and their immediate influence is the end goal.
Thoughts often shape what a person does, how a person feels and reacts; the incorporation of skill based therapies Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) integrate the skill of mindfulness in an effort to better identify and manage thoughts and feelings in the present moment. In ACT, through the development of the skill of mindfulness, emphasis is placed on developing flexibility with self and values guided behaviors.
